My Creative process
Inspiration
After going over many designs and ideas for dune buggies, I decided a futuristic design is more ideal for what I'm going for. The desert background would be the perfect backdrop because it is both breathtaking but also doesn't distract from the main subject.
Techniques
I immediately knew that I didn't want a hyper-realistic drawing. Moreover, after realizing how time-consuming it was to blend colors and shadows on the car--especially considering the many bends and angles a buggy has--I decided to just have no shading on the dune buggy. However, I still managed to make it seem like the buggy was actually in the environment. With the background, I was able to create a great desert landscape thanks to the Nemanja Sekulic video on 2D backgrounds.
